Dylan, a troubled New York teen, gets expelled from school, forcing his single mother to take desperate measures. She sends him to spend the summer with her estranged, rigid father in the hopes that a positive male role model will straighten him out. The two get off to a rough start, but in time, they give each other some much needed lessons in love.
