The human girl Karen and the elf Rumle are best friends, but when Karen turns 13 and thus becomes an adult, she loses the ability to see Rumble. Despite warnings, Karen and Rumble are tempted to create a magical Christmas heart so they can keep seeing each other, but suddenly a series of accidents begins to hit the manor where Karen works as a maid.
