Perhaps the fun-loving Lotta is overdoing it with her impulsiveness: she has hit a snag before every path into adulthood so far, and in her mid-20s she is still without an education. This is a thorn in the side of her down-to-earth father. Lotta counters his ultimatum not to finance the unruly daughter in future with the usual defiance and perhaps a little hastily with the announcement that she will then just do the internship she was offered that very morning: as a nurse in the local old people's home.
