Produced by Ruby Spears Animation, this cartoon was based on the Lazer Tag toys. The series aired on NBC from Sept. 13, 1986 to Aug. 22, 1987, and was canceled due to the bankruptcy of Worlds of Wonder (the makers of the Lazer Tag toys). The series followed the adventures of Jamie Jaren, a 13 year-old Lazer Tag champion from the year 3010, who journeys back in time to stop the evil Draxon Drear. She joins forces with her ancestors, Tom, Beth and Nicky Jaren, who also share her special powers. For most people, the Lazer Tag weapons (called "Starlites") are harmless toys, but for others like the Jarens, they become weapons that allow them (along with the Star Sensor) to travel in time, move objects, etc.
