The committed midwife Antonia and her husband Dr. Thomas Hellmann the midwives Vroni and Helena as well as their partners Karl and Dr. Leitner. While Vroni has her Karl under control, Dr. Leitner, however, is only the "onoff lover" of the fickle Helena.
