Zoe Martinez

Zoe Maria Fernández Martínez is a political commentator and city councilor from São Paulo, naturalized Brazilian, born in Cuba. She and her family immigrated to Brazil in 2011, fleeing the Cuban regime. A staunch critic of communism and a defender of freedom, she uses her life experience to raise awareness about dictatorships and the history of socialism, and is one of the interviewees in the History of Communism series.
