Ninotschka und Peer

Drama, Romance
“Ninotschka”, whose real name is Sabine Horn and does her job as a policewoman at VoPo in East Berlin, and Peer Müller, a newspaper editor from the west of the city, begins quite banally: Bello, the male boxer who lives in the west with his master Peer, is drawn to it after an east-west encounter irrepressible to the boxer lady Babettchen from mistress Sabine. So that this animal love does not end up on the dog because of the "big politics", the West journalist and the East policewoman approach each other and soon discover that they have similar feelings to each other as their two four-legged friends. One day things change suddenly when, in the morning hours of August 13, 1961, the GDR begins to seal off the eastern sector of Berlin from the western sectors by erecting a wall. Now all four protagonists of the story are threatened with separation for an indefinite period.
