During the Finnish war, Jeppe Antinpoika, a highway pirate, robs the King of Sweden of his treasure. A bag of gems is left behind the house bank to wait for 200 years. The city girl Aurora, who is also called Arska, arrives to visit Mr. Heinämäki, a country original. Mr. Heinämäki's neighbor, the baker Kakelberg, is doing badly, as the baker's house has started to be haunted and the baking business has been sabotaged.
