People persecuted by the Nazi regime hide in the pastorate of the Swedish congregation. With fake passports and the help of the corrupt SS leader Lienhardt, Pastor Dalström helps some flee to Sweden. When Dalström dies because of Lienhardt, his successor Tornquist does everything in his power to save the rest.
