Franzi Stiglmeier sells outdated fashion in the Springbrunn fashion store. She is engaged to Herr von Schwan, but secretly in love with the artist Hans Herrlinger. Together with her beloved Hans, she manages to modernize Springbrunn's offer. In doing so, she not only drives Aunt Rosa to despair, but also the whole of imperial Vienna in an uproar.
