The annual Christmas singing on Bavarian television not only creates a festive atmosphere on Christmas Eve, but also shows a piece of home: this year it takes place in the monastery church of the Benedictine Abbey of Schäftlarn south of Munich, designed by well-known Baroque and Rococo artists. Young singers and musicians from Upper Bavaria are shaping the program this year. They feel connected to the alpine musical tradition, but fill it with fresh life and present it on a high artistic level. Otto Dufter is the musical director.
