Science and imagination are playfully mixed in a love story, in which Julia and Thomas are inseparable from childhood until Julia gets a traffic accident. She appears to have a donor code. Her heart is being transplanted. Thomas can not live with the idea that Julia's heart still beats, but with someone else. He goes to extremes to find the heart back, because, he has learned, 'consciousness is not necessarily in your brain'.
