Marie, an 80-year-old woman with terminal cancer, has decided to end her life as she wishes. She sets off on a journey accompanied by her somewhat dysfunctional family and Rudy, a kind-hearted carer she has just met. Unable to reveal her true intentions, Marie invents a story about an inheritance in Switzerland to convince her unreliable and distracted son Bruno, granddaughter Anna and Rudy to go on the trip in their old camper van.
