The wealthy but unhappy couple Doña Lupe (Dina Bonnevie) and Don Paeng (Edu Manzano) yearns to have a child for the longest time and will do anything just to fulfill their wish. Lupe wants to participate in a ritual performed by women to invoke the gods to grant the blessing of fertility by dancing around a Balete tree that was already a century old.
