Seven girls came to Villalvilla to carry out social work. They discover that the neighbors suffer from fevers, but do not know the origin, and that the local doctor does not manage to cure. The chief of the town is the mayor who for his personal gain uses a pond to irrigate his lands and possibly causes malaria.
