Dancer, actress Barrie Chase was best known as Fred Astaire's favorite dance partner. Studying ballet from the age of three, she first appeared with Astaire in Silk Stockings (1957). Her film credits include Cape Fear (1962), It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World (1963), The Flight of the Phoenix (1965) and Mardi Gras (1958).
