Kin'ya Kitaōji (born Masakatsu Asai) debuted with his father in the 1956 Toei film Oyakodaka in the role of Katsu Kaishū. He is known for recurring roles in series such as Cop Seven, Seiten wo Tsuke, Ardent Flower, Princess Go and films including The Legend & Butterfly (2023) Himatsuri (1985), Haru no kane (1985) and Shinsengumi: Assassins of Honor (1969).
