Tom E. Lewis, whose traditional name was Balang Lewis, was an Indigenous Australian from the Murrungun people He was best known for his role in the 1978 film The Chant of Jimmie Blacksmith. Yellow Fella was the first Australian Indigenous documentary screened at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival in France.
