The LEGO Batman Movie 2 was the planned sequel to The LEGO Batman Movie. This movie was confirmed to be worked on by Chris McKay. In 2019 Universal Pictures acquired the film rights to The Lego Movie franchise, leaving the future of this sequel uncertain, due to the rights of DC Comics being owned by Warner Bros.
