They live in a popular neighborhood on the outskirts of a big city and are apparently a normal family, although in reality they hide a secret regarding their source of financing: their income comes from petty theft, deception and small-scale scams. Their new life, now like the Gómez family, will take place in a residential neighborhood where they will have some problems integrating, and in which they will have to learn, together with their four children, to adapt to a higher social status. "Suddenly the Gómez" was one of the strong bets of the Telecinco network for the fall 2009 programming, but after its poor audience results the series was canceled after only a few episodes had been broadcast.
