Dedicated to virgin lands and consists of four films: "our daily Bread", "Bread and earth", "Bread and people", "Bread of the Fatherland". The action of the movie novel is based on the disclosure of the fate of three characters: the Director of the state farm Stepan Sechkin, party worker Vladimir Eroshin and scientist-agronomist Sergei Ignatiev.
