It revolved around the dehumanization of the city, how uncontrolled progress can crush human beings. It tells the story of Lauro Fontana, a megalomaniacal businessman who wants to build the biggest hotel in Brazil, the "Fontana Sky", and to do so he needs to convince the Camará, a mysterious family, to sell their mansion, in Botafogo, Rio de Janeiro, so that he can utilize the immense land to achieve his purpose. Together, the story of Léo, a boy who defends the preservation of nature and whose destiny crosses with that of Dora, a young single mother.
