Lanaree is a feisty, emotional and impulsive interior designer who met & fell in love at first sight with Tula (aka "Toon"), a lawyer, when he intervened in a dispute outside a court building. Ever since that first meeting, she actively chased after Toon and they eventually dated & married 365 days after their first meeting. Lanaree was in bliss and thought that they would live happily ever after, but when Toon's ex-girlfriend appeared, Lanaree found herself emotionally upset because she realised that she did not know much about Toon's past. She followed a co-worker to a fortune-teller to see if she could find out more but was instead shocked when the fortune-teller told her that she would be divorced within a year after her marriage. The fortune-teller gave her a magic book which would be able to transport Lanaree 1 year into the future to see the truth for herself.
