In 16th century Japan, Koichiro is living contented as a village farmer when his older brother Tokichiro returns. Now vassal to the young local lord, Oda Nobunaga, Tokichiro asks his little brother to join him. They can become samurai and achieve something in the world. Meanwhile, Koichiro himself has a fateful encounter with the lord Nobunaga. This is the age of warlords and social upheaval, where one has a chance to reach greatness regardless of birth.
