The Sandkasten-Djangos are four children from Hamburg: Fetzer, Benny, Karl and the girl Pätzi. Fetzer's father runs a small shop in Hamburg. In the very first episode, cousin Ossi comes to visit from Bavaria. The five of them go on all kinds of adventures together. Episodes 4-6 are set on the North Sea, where the children visit Fetzer's grandfather.
