Suam, a feisty tomboy, frequently clashes with Captain Danurut, a police officer monitoring her community for gambling and drug dealing. Their constant bickering escalates when Danurut accidentally handcuffs himself to Suam, forcing them to spend the night together. To protect her from gossip, he marries her.
