Jean-François, aka "Jeff" captain at the BAC, gave everything to his job. During a chase, he was seriously shot between the gorilla and lemur enclosure. Left for dead, he feels like he hears the animals encouraging him to hold on, before sinking into a coma. When he wakes up, Jeff discovers an extraordinary gift: he can understand animals.
