In a remote Portuguese village in 1917, three children, three shepherds, witness a beautiful "Lady" in heaven who invites them to pray and to return to the same place for the next six months. Believed by all to be liars and visionaries, even by their own parents, the children suffer intimidation and threats, but their faith in the "Lady" ultimately prevails.
