That was one Hitler gag too many: comedian and parodist Hans Zeisig has to flee Nazi Berlin in 1938 with false papers. He actually dreams of Hollywood, but then he ends up in Moscow and ends up in the notorious exile hotel LUX. It is a refuge for communist functionaries from all over the world and especially from Germany. The Soviet secret service mistakes Zeisig for Adolf Hitler's renegade personal astrologer. The apolitical entertainer finds himself caught between the fronts of bloody intrigues in Stalin's power apparatus. To his surprise, Zeisig also reunites with his former stage partner Siggi Meyer and the Dutch underground fighter Frida, both of whom firmly believe in the goodness of communism. An adventure of life and death begins for the three friends.
