In Russia in the second half of the 1700s, Pyotr Grinev is a spoiled aristocrat who as punishment is sent by his father to a frontier outpost on the edge of the Russian empire. Life for him will not be easy in the new situation, which however also gives him the opportunity to fall in love with Mascia, the beautiful daughter of the captain of the garrison. It is a love that will not have an easy life, since it will suffer the disturbances of the young officer Svabrin, who is also in love with Mascia. Meanwhile, the Cossack revolt begins, led by the cruel Pugachev. In the second and final episode, Pyotr separates from Mascia and tries to warn the Russian army of the imminent arrival of Pugachev, whose popular support is always growing. As events unfold, our protagonist will attempt to save not only his homeland, but also the girl he loves.
