Melvin Jerome Blanc (born Blank) was an American voice actor and radio personality whose career spanned over 60 years. During the Golden Age of Radio, he provided character voices and vocal sound effects for comedy radio programs. However, he became known worldwide for his work in the Golden Age of American Animation as the voices of numerous characters from the Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies theatrical cartoons. Referred to as "The Man of a Thousand Voices", he is regarded as one of the most influential people in the voice acting industry, and as one of the greatest voice actors of all time.
