Through fictional scenes, original repertoire, interviews and animation, the work tells the political, social and above all human story behind the birth of the Unknown Soldier. Maria Bergamas, mother of an Italian infantryman missing on the front of the First World War, chose among eleven coffins with the bodies of unidentified soldiers that of the Unknown Soldier who was then buried on November 4, 1921 at the Altare della Patria where, still today, exactly after 100 years, it is constantly watched over by the military of all weapons who, in turn, honor the soldier without identity, a symbol of unity in the country
