Gary Hart, a U.S. United States Senate from Colorado, is the widely accepted frontrunner in the race for the 1988 Democratic Party presidential primaries. After losing the 1984 Democratic Party presidential primaries to Vice Presidential nominee Walter Mondale, Hart decides to run for President of the United States.
