Shot on location in Burma, Thailand and Sri Lanka, the film follows Captain Tom Reynolds (Frank Sinatra) and his fellow Office of Strategic Services operatives, Captain Grey Travis (Peter Lawford) and Corporal Bill Ringa (Steve McQueen), leading Jingpo people natives in fighting the Imperial Japanese Army in Burma in World War II despite a lack of support from their commanders.
