Rei Kiriyama is a professional player of shogi, or Japanese chess, who lives in a family-like arrangement with eldest daughter Akari Kamamoto, middle daughter Hinata, and youngest daughter Momo. Rei and his rivals are confronted with numerous difficulties as a major shogi title match gets underway. Then, the father who abandoned the three sisters shows up and makes unbelievable demands.
