The film tells the story of American hero and former LAPD detective, Russell Poole, who in 1997 is working the murder cases of rappers Murder of Tupac Shakur and Murder of Christopher Wallace A reporter (based on journalist Randall Sullivan's collaboration with Russell Poole), "Jack" Jackson, teams up with Poole after nearly two decades to find out the truth.
